English Levels
How we rate language skills.
The CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is an international standard used to describe language ability. It defines clear levels, from A1 (beginner) to C2 (advanced), helping learners understand their current level and set realistic learning goals.

We can assess your level (or your team’s) ensuring that lessons are appropriately targeted and effective.
Learners at A1 or A2 often progress more quickly as they build core skills, while advancement from B1 to B2 or B2 to C1 typically takes longer due to the increased complexity of grammar, vocabulary, and fluency.

To support faster progress, we offer targeted practice and additional exercises where needed. Our tailored approach, real-world communication focus, and experienced teachers help learners achieve their language goals efficiently and sustainably.
The Levels
A0
The A0 level of English represents a complete beginner who has no prior knowledge of the language. In a professional setting, individuals at this level can understand simple greetings and basic expressions but struggle to communicate effectively in everyday workplace scenarios. They require foundational training to build essential vocabulary and basic conversational skills needed for effective interaction in a business environment.
A1
The A1 level of English indicates a basic understanding of the language, where individuals can communicate simple ideas and respond to straightforward questions in a professional setting. At this level, they can use basic vocabulary related to familiar topics, such as personal information and everyday tasks. However, they still need support and practice to develop their fluency and confidence for more complex workplace interactions.
A2
The A2 level of English signifies a basic user who can understand and communicate simple sentences related to everyday tasks and familiar topics in a professional setting. Individuals at this level can engage in short conversations, describe their background, and express immediate needs. While they possess a greater vocabulary and can handle routine interactions, they still require guidance to navigate more complex discussions in the workplace.
B1
The B1 level of English indicates an intermediate user who can understand the main points of clear standard communication in familiar work contexts. In a professional setting, individuals at this level can participate in conversations on various topics, express opinions, and handle routine tasks that require a simple exchange of information. While they are becoming more confident in their communication skills, they may still struggle with more complex language structures and nuanced discussions.
B2
The B2 level of English signifies an upper-intermediate user who can understand the main ideas of complex texts and interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity in professional settings. Individuals at this level can engage in discussions on a variety of topics, present arguments, and express opinions clearly and effectively. They possess a solid vocabulary and are able to handle more nuanced conversations, although they may still encounter challenges with idiomatic expressions and advanced language structures.
C1
The C1 level of English represents a proficient user who can understand and produce complex texts and engage in fluent, spontaneous conversations in professional settings. Individuals at this level can articulate their thoughts clearly and effectively, adapting their language to suit different contexts and audiences. They have a deep understanding of nuanced language, including idiomatic expressions, and can handle sophisticated discussions with confidence and precision.
C2
The C2 level of English denotes a mastery of the language, allowing individuals to understand virtually everything they read or hear in professional contexts. They can express themselves spontaneously, fluently, and precisely, even in complex situations, demonstrating a deep command of idiomatic expressions and nuanced meanings. At this level, individuals can produce well-structured and detailed texts, effectively conveying their ideas and arguments with a high degree of sophistication.
