Why Learning English Is Just as Important as Learning to Code

In today’s tech-driven world, learning to code opens up incredible opportunities. But what many new developers overlook is the power of English. Whether it’s reading documentation, communicating with international teams, or understanding the latest tutorials, English is the global language of technology.

For the past several months, I’ve been teaching English to small groups at Bruxelles Formation, focusing on learners who are training for future careers in coding. The goal has been to give them the language tools they need to succeed in the tech world, whether it’s understanding documentation, communicating in teams, or preparing for job interviews. Each group has brought different experiences and levels, so I’ve tailored the lessons to meet their needs and support their progress.

To keep things engaging and practical, I’ve used fun and modern methods like role-playing job interviews, working with real-world tech vocabulary, and using online tools to practice communication. The atmosphere is relaxed but focused, helping learners gain confidence while enjoying the learning process. These sessions are not just about grammar, they’re about helping future coders feel ready to use English in their careers.
